That reminds me! Our silver truly does need a good polish. I avert my eyes every time I dust around the candleabra and such.

I don't know what to call it, but if you'd heard me talking to myself just now when I entered your blog and saw THAT clip of Simon and Garfunkel, you'd have been amazed at the amount of expletives I know by heart in the English language. And others that you might not even they existed :-).
The link is to a column that comes out every fortnight in The Guardian's Film and Music supplement, and it's compulsory reading for me because I love Laura Barton's writing. I think she is one of the top music journalists in this country and you... today... posting... this... clip...

ReplyDeletei adore the music of simon and garfunkle and the harmony on this live version was particularly nice. when meeting or interacting with young people i often test them by bringing up simon and garfunkle. i'm always pleased that i rarely stump them.

And silverware--well, anything to make a table pretty is always wonderful...have a wonderful Thanksgiving coming up here...I should be polishing silver too, but I'm headed to my sister's place, so I think I'll wait to do that for Christmas!
