Balloons

Stretch tight over dizzying breaths
float free, without string.

Seek new perspective
from the living room ceiling
bend, squeak, twist,
dazzle hemispheres.

Edge close to the sofa
the first intimate spin
connects rampant static.

Rise above the night sky
pull magnetic on paths coincident.

Take care not to burst
against the points of stars.

Many thanks to R.A.D. Stainforth for adding breath to my words.

  20. I must be just too edgy. For my balloons always burst when I go dazzle hemispheres. Of course, being edgy is supposed to be too cool for school these days--yo?

  29. Wow,this is excellent! It's been a long time since I've written here but I still remember names! Some of you have been writing here a long time! Hello again!
I am trying to read my own poems but don't seem to have the knack. They make my poems seem stupid I have no "style." Lol! This is the way to do it!
Still, I do love to write my poems, so much fun!
