my dream

My dream is to walk around the world. A smallish backpack, all essentials neatly in place. A camera. A notebook. A traveling paint set. A hat. Good shoes. A nice pleated (green?) skirt for the occasional seaside hotel afternoon dance.

If you get me started

you'll have to kill me

bury my body in the woods

to get me to stop

I go on like an old lady

being murdered

with snorts and squawks

crazy as a rat in a coffee can

the special kind of cops

who just follow people

will be slightly visible

in your rearview mirror

they'll  find you out

so don't even think about it
