Spark

Stun innocent bystanders,
wreak havoc with satisfying crunch ―
roar of slender flame
leaves eyes smarting for more.

Your sharpshooter precision
flashes approaching silver ―
ball of your thumb rough
with years of routine.

Break harbor before dawn,
light the sunken road with felicity ―
toss down your weapon of choice
to practice power in reserve.

Embrace doubled-up dark
the someone who waits ―
hand-to-hand struggle,
no reluctance to surrender.
