Gemini

The third sign of the zodiac is Gemini, May 22 - June 21, originating
from the constellation of Gemini. It is symbolized by the twins,
indicating its dual nature. Gemini is a mutable sign, and Geminis
are versatile people. It is also an air sign, meaning that Geminis are
communicative. Gemini has been closely associated with the planet
Mercury and is considered to be ruled by it.

Geminis are adaptable and curious people, who like to keep on the
move. They are youthful and lively, but can feel restless. They
are quick thinking and have no trouble keeping several projects
going at once. Like butterflies, they flit around to various groups of
people, and are colorful characters. Usually, Geminis like to keep in
touch, enjoy emailing, letter writing and tend to be the first to know
the news.

The body parts associated with this sign are the hands, arms and
shoulders. Flowers are lily of the valley and lavender. Color is any
bright color, especially yellow. The gemstone for Gemini is the agate.
And the countries are Wales, Belgium, USA, Lower Egypt and
Armenia.
.
Happy Birthday, my dear, clever Gemini friends!

  1. Pretty acurate, especially the colourful lively character, flitting like a butterfly. Sums up my daughter in a nutshell.

  3. Your Clowns post was most excellent! I had NO idea there were so many people with a clown phobia.

Sober looking twin girls reminds me of Kings "The Shining".

  5. Thanks for the great over view of Gemini. My rising sign is Gemini. And congratulations on your clown post award! Well deserved. Also I take note of the two sisters’ comment and art work by Mary Cassatt,a favorite artist.

  6. I love the twins photo. It is fascinating looking at their likenesses and looking for their slight differences.

I'm a Gemini and I'd say I resemble that explanation, especially the restless part. People probably don't see that in me, but on the inside I often feel restless and in need of change. Working at the same task day after day makes me crazy sometimes.

  9. Wow! My Dad has this photo in a book out in our garage. I remember his pointing out to me how the twins were so alike but the photographer showed how they could be so different through their expressions

  12. My husband was Gemini (he just made it being born on June 21) but I am not sure if this description fits him. He was clever, mecurial with a dry sense of humour.

  20. My twin granddaughters were born June 8...the twins of Gemini. One is sunny, one is moody.

My son is also a gemini...two boys in one. When I would get tired of the hard to get along with one, I would ask for the nice one and he would come out.

  21. Well, you've summed up my wonderful gemini boyfriend. :)
    Very accurate, Willow. Haha.

  24. I am married to a Gemini, who on the whole fits into that description. Interestingly he has great trouble with his shoulder and a trapped nerve - perhaps it is all to do with his astrological sign.

  25. Ah Gemini ... I once worked for a man who was a Gemini ... some days his less than nice side went to lunch but his nice side came back, those were the good days ... OTOH my sister is a Gemini and she seems to be pretty nice all the time ... Happy Weekend!

  26. I had never heard of this photographer but I like what I am able to see of her work.

My wife of 54 years is a twin. Honest to pot she is. She didn't know she was a twin and her folks didn't know she was a twin but there came a point in time when she was about 16 that her doctor asked her in a whisper in her ear, "Have you been fooling around, Patty?" She was there to see the doctor because she had been having a lot of abdominal pains and wanted to find out what was wrong.

In the end, they did exploratory surgery on her and found her twin that had never developed properly was hooked onto her ovary and that it was beginning to decay. Anyway, that (her twin) was removed and she lost the ovary.

PS: Me and Patty are both "Scorpios" and that is supposed to be a no-no in astrology. Fifty-four years later...duh?
