Song in My Head Saturday

  1. That's one of those "make ya smile" songs. I love Simon and Garfunkel, too. I remember the first time I heard them was when I was a young girl, visiting my cool, early 20's uncle who was playing their album in his room. I just thought he was the grooviest dude ever. ;o)

  10. This song is perfect for today as I'm at my mother's house...she's a big fan of the duo. When we were kids, their music was a constant in our lives.

*remembering all the records, shelved alphabetically, and the gigantic stereo system with wall mounted speakers....ha!*

  15. Such turbulent times these songs bring to my minds eye...the Vietnam war and all of the songs of protests...as I worried daily of which friend would be drafted next.

All of their music brought joy and sorrow...icons of an era. Thanks for the memories!

  19. The first LP I bought was Simon and Garfunkel's first.."Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme" when I was in high school and I've been in love with them ever since...Paul Simon is a poet..

  20. Thank you for the song, it is now in my head. We are expecting 8 to 10 inches of snow today into tomorrow.

I'm still hanging onto my Christmas decorations for at least another week. And I'm still enjoying the sounds of Christmas music.

    Have a nice weekend.
