Plum Crumble

This is one of my regular summer desserts and it is easy
and wonderful! Serve warm with a dip of vanilla ice cream
on top. This is not my picture, although it looks exactly like
this. We gobbled it up today before I could get a photo!

Plum Crumble

fruit filling:
2 pounds plums, halved, pitted, each cut into 6 wedges
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

topping:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 stick unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1/4 cup sliced almonds, coarsely chopped (also good with walnuts)

Toss plums, sugar and cinnamon in baking dish.
Mix topping and sprinkle over top. Bake 30 minutes at
350 or until bubbly in center and lightly browned.

  1. I love plums! I make plum jam every year, but I've never made a plum crumble. I think my parents would really enjoy this, so I'm taking the recipe to prepare for them. Thanks~

  6. Soooo delicious...I justlove plum crumble! I made endless plum crumbles last summer, when our two old plum trees gave more fruit than we knew what to do with...This year, not as many fruits on the trees...That's nature! THanks so much for sharing your good recipe! Happy Days :o)
