  1. I would rather doubt that about the knees, but the cute face hasn't changed.

Happy Labor Day to you as well!
    From Edward, too!

  4. Old Labor Day gathering photos can be so neat—most of the time.

    Enjoy the holiday!

  5. What a dear, dear photo. How wonderful to have these "moments" from the past. Cute little romper - and I love the way your right arm is in an ever-so-slight balletic pose. Happy Labour Day to you and yours!

  6. Willow, very cute photo. The camera was one of the greatest inventions. A small box with the ability to freeze time and capture memories.

  8. Gaw shucks what a cutie. Lucky you to have photographs of childhood and family.
Loved your snippet on the Greek arch. find. No fingerprints on the tin can? Sorry, been watching the wrong show again...
Am considering whom to pass the pink orchids (hilarious for as orchid grower to mistake them for pansies) to. It will take me a little time as we drive off into the sunset tomorrow, 1,000 miles, to Sydney. Will probably be out of
internet access most of the time.
Have to be back for the 14th. for granddaughter's 21st.
Hope to catch your blog on the run
    somewhere.
    xx A.

  14. You were a cutie!
Do you know the artist Mabel Lucie Atwell?
Did some charming illustrations of children in the 30's

  16. happy labor day to you as well. you sent me off onto an interesting little journey. i know i had a grandma dee, but i was going to say --i have an auntie dee too. but then i couldn't think of any one of my aunts named dee, and... did we even call them auntie?....

then a long dormant molecule in my brain got activated--wasn't she on tv?

indeed she was!-- in detroit whech is where i was when i was about 7, when she was on the air.

i think somewhere in my little-kid's brain i thought maybe we were related, if we called her auntie!

(and we were related to soupy sales who was also on detroit tv at the time.... but that's another story.)

  18. Oh, but I remember those little sunsuits. My mother kept me in them in the summer too. I'd forgotten all about them until I saw your post; thanks for bring back that painful memory! ;)

  19. You, too, Willow! I just came back from a quick visit to Georgia to see my dad before I head out on the road next Sunday...fall is approaching in my work world way too soon! ;((

  20. You are so funny! How is it, when we turn 50 something, we don't change weight so much as it tends to shift! Oh well, considering the alternative.....bring on the sags!

  21. What a cutie! I love your little outfit! Have a relaxing Labor Day - I intend to as well.

I read about the golden wreath but didn't see pictures. Thanks for posting them!

I was a volunteer docent at the Alexander the Great exhibit in St. Petersburg, FL. The display cases were all black inside. We could see our reflections as we looked at the beautiful gold wreaths and women's head dresses. If I moved my head just so I could see myself wearing them! When things were slow I would invite the guests to "try on" the jewelry. Fun!

  22. Oh yeah...it's a drag that those pudgy knees look so very cute on a three year old, but not on those of us over 50!
