This morning while I was typing away at my computer, I got the feeling
I was being watched. This handsome young guy was intently gazing at
me through the french doors. I grabbed my camera and he didn't flinch
as I took several photos. His tail was wagging and he looked as if he
wanted to come in for a cup of tea!
Oh, so enchanting!
ReplyDeleteHe came right up to the window didn't he? Do you often see deer in your yard?
ReplyDeleteStevie, yes, much more so now that our yellow lab, Ralphy, is gone. He was a great guard dog and thought it his duty to chase everything off the property.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. Such a fine looking fellow!
ReplyDeleteYour eden rose is beautiful.
What a wonderful picture, Willow. I am in love with deer - such beautiful creatures. I know they cause havoc in gardens, but I would sacrifice a few plants in order to have this lovely fellow tapping at my window! I'd suggest you put a pot on and brew some clover and fennel - he might just stay for a sip... Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteNo way! That is soooo neat! He's just gorgeous! He looks like he's smiling at you! You need to tell Mr. Lincoln to come and take a look! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Willow he is so beautiful! What a privelege to have him there. I wonder if he ever fights his reflection in the window.
ReplyDeleteThat is sensational ..
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the hair cut comment .. I encourage you to go silver .. its such a hoot to be asked if I color my hair ... recently I was in a silly mood and said yes I use Miss Clariol Silver Dollar...

Wow he is stunning and the light falling on him makes this a wonderful picture
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise, I'm surprised he stayed around long enough to get pictures....Amazing.
ReplyDeleteI was picking up the pieces tonight and saw your comment about the visitor. You are so lucky. I worry myself sick, sometimes, about squirrels with a limp or with mangy hair or birds with a twisted foot. I can't imagine worrying about bucks and does being mangled during hunting season and coming home for a bite to eat. That would just about fix me for good.
ReplyDeleteHowever, that isn't to say the photo is less than it is. I think it is wonderful. I don't know what lens you used but you got a great portrait.
Tis would be a most welcome guest. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful visitor! I love his antlers!
ReplyDeleteHe is beautiful! What a treat right out your window!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the little buck. He hasn't rubbed off the velvet yet on his antlers.
ReplyDeleteWow. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteNow that is truly a Kodak Moment(well...digital camera moment just doesen't have the same ring to it). He looks so inquisitive.
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteSo close and such a great shot!
Oh..my God..you are so lucky..!
ReplyDeleteI love to read about this kind of encounter..
so sweet..
Very neet litte rein deer ! Has the same colour as my little dog.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week, Maria
Wow...! Blimey, what a visitor! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an honour to be visited by such a beautiful, ordinarily timid creature. He must sense a good person. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteWOW.
ReplyDeletea harbinger of good things to come? a connection to the hauntings in the manor? it seems your visitor was there with a purpose. hmmm . . . wonder what it was. how lucky you were to snap this great photo!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised he didn't bolt before you managed the photo. You have deer AND flowers/plants? They are mutually exclusive where I live. All gardening must be done behind a fence as the deer eat EVERYTHING. I'm not really that fond of them anymore...
