Saturday Morning Breakfast

It was a glorious spring morning and WT and I had breakfast on the
patio. The grass has turned from brown stubble to emerald green
almost overnight! It's still early in the season, but I couldn't wait and
potted a few flowers for the patio this week. I found this little clover
at the garden center. This variety has four leaves...must be extra lucky!

  6. Perfect bliss! A peep into your world leaves me feeling very peaceful. The alyssum reminds me of my mom. She used to plant it everywhere.

  7. Willow, everything is just beautiful. I see the fruits of your labor, that you mentioned a few days ago...all that potting has rewarded you richly. The pots, the breakfast (gorgeous plate and cup by the way)...

It's unusually warm today here too. Bebbers and I were in the park before 8 a.m., the dew wetting his paws and my sandals. Somewhere up high a woodpecker pecked, squirrels dashed about, and I, like you, revelled in the wonder of a glorious spring morning. Thanks for sharing yours with all of us.

    Regards,
    Lavinia

  9. OK, you're making me hungry even though I just finished a piece of lemon angel food cake and fruit. Your flowers and yard are beautiful and making me industrious on this Saturday afternoon. It appears the rain has stopped; I must try to work on my yard. Continue to have a great weekend! :)

  13. Isn't it wonderful to be able to eat outside again after the long Winter? We enjoy snacks and tea on the front porch - until mosquito season kicks in (ugh!), sometimes breakfast and then dinner in the gazebo - built to enable mosquito-free meals and relaxation!
Your breakfast looked yummy - your garden and plants beautiful. Hope all those 4-leaf clovers bring you extra luck.

  14. I love the sweet little plant grouped with the dianthus and begonias. Do you happen to know the name of it?

  15. Kim, it's a variety of stonecrop. I've had it potted for years. I put it in the screened porch for the winter and it comes back every spring! It's a survivor.
