It's mellow. Weather forecasters have even described it as "delightful" and Chicago rarely gets delightful weather, especially in August. I like the dog days though, just like the 9th month of pregnancy, they make you willing to go through what you need to get through and see what's on the other side.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13231744174759800033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1636364949017025470.post-81160716743493581342008-08-21T15:51:00.000-04:002008-08-21T15:51:00.000-04:00Cuban, your comments on linguistics are always so ...Cuban, your comments on linguistics are always so interesting. To make myself clear: if I was to translate that phrase into Spanish it would be 'Dias de Perros' (notice the 'de'), however, the ancient Romans allowed the 'dies' to absorb the 'cuniculares' without placing any word in between. Latin is a funny language indeed, no wonder it has exerted so much influence on modern lexicons.

Greetings from London.A Cuban In Londonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16423293358605007539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1636364949017025470.post-33645316745855458232008-08-21T14:17:00.000-04:002008-08-21T14:17:00.000-04:00Yes!
