The Cat's Pyjamas

Body swerve corners,
curve neck to kneecap,
roll the reds.

Your eyes button perfectly
in their buttonholes.

The way you bat at the gear shift,
leave certain things unsaid,
dislodges everything.

Purring at the light
has something to do with it.

You know they gave you a license
because of your short skirt
and outrageous hair.

Somehow you always land
on your feet.

I coaxed R.A.D. Stainforth into a delightful mid-week read...

  1. Ah yes, and she always will! Such a sense of deepness, and yet, gentle purr between your lines. Lovely piece, and I adore her suit!

  3. Love this! "Your eyes button perfectly/in their buttonholes" Purring has a lot to do with it, but those shifts in gear? Everything dislodged. Thank you.

  4. Ah, the power of feminine wiles ... pays to have pointy boobs, short skirts and legs that go up to there!

  6. WOW! NOW I know how to prepare, dress and behave during my next testing 2018. I'll wait to buy the costume. Starting to diet and workout now. Hmmmm, do you think I should cancel the ears?

  8. I just stumbled here from somewhere else quite randomly and was delighted to find a batgirl poem! I have one of my own (not online) set in a library... Batgirl was a librarian as a day job, you know?

Love it! Body swerve the corners indeed.

  9. I was nearly as transfixed by the video warping and waving (how did he do that?) while he spoke as I was by this excellent poem.
